There are herbs for happiness that can help reduce stress and improve your mood. You can consume them in the form of herbal teas or supplements.
To find out which herbs work, Health Shots contacted Mumbai-based Ayurvedic expert Dr. Geethi Varma.

Ways to Use Herbs for Happiness
These herbs can be easily incorporated into your daily routine. Here’s how!
1. Capsules or supplements
Ayurvedic herbs are readily available in capsule or supplement form. It’s a pretty convenient way to consume the herbs, especially if you prefer a standardized dosage. Simply follow the recommended dosage instructions given on the package or consult a doctor for advice.
2. Herbal teas
The good news is that many Ayurvedic herbs can be consumed in the form of herbal teas. All you have to do is soak the herbs in hot water for a few minutes, then strain and drink them.

3. Powder form
Ayurvedic herbs are also found in powder form, which you can add to foods and drinks. You can sprinkle the powdered herbs over your meals, mix them into healthy smoothies, or stir them into hot milk, suggests Dr. Varma.
4. Ayurvedic formulations
You can opt for Ayurvedic formulations, such as churnas, oils, and herbal blends. They often contain a combination of herbs specially formulated for various purposes. But take them after consulting an Ayurvedic expert.
5. Herbal Infused Oils
Certain Ayurvedic herbs are used to prepare herbal infused oils, which can be applied topically. You can massage the oil into your scalp or body.
Ayurvedic herbs are generally considered safe, but you should exercise caution or avoid certain herbs altogether. Certain herbs, including ashwagandha, brahmi, and jatamansi, can have stimulating effects on the uterus and should be avoided during pregnancy. And if you have any allergies or sensitivities, you should avoid those as well.
