Try mango face masks for glowing skin

The summer months make most of us happy. Well, you have to deal with scorching heat, but summer is also when the mangoes come. From the beginning of May, I see small green mangoes growing in my garden. Within a few weeks, they turn into large yellow fruits. You get plenty of ripe mangoes in June and July, but that doesn’t mean August is a mango-free month. They are always available in markets or in gardens. So, before the mango season ends, explore it and use some of it in your skincare routine as well. My mom says mango face masks can give you glowing skin.

To learn more about mango face masks, Health Shots reached out to Gurugram-based dermatologist and cosmetologist Dr. Urvi Panchal.

mango for skin

Mangoes are not only tasty, but also great for your skin. Here are some of the benefits of mangoes for the skin:

1. Hydration and nutrition

The juicy fruit is rich in water, which makes it ideal for moisturizing the skin. It also contains vitamins A, C, K and E, as well as beta-carotene, which nourish the skin and promote a healthy complexion, says Dr. Panchal.

2. Anti-Aging Properties

The antioxidants found in mangoes help fight free radicals that contribute to premature aging. Fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin can also be delayed.

3. Skin lightening

The high vitamin C content of mangoes helps brighten the skin and give it a radiant glow. This can help fade dark spots and even out skin tone.

4. Treatment of acne and pimples

Mangoes have anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe irritated skin and reduce redness caused by acne. They also contain enzymes that help slough off dead skin cells and unclog pores.
